Faule Haut is leaving THE ROCK of Gibraltar.

She will make a short stop at Ceuta, before heading to the Caribbean via Canary Islands.
Gibraltar again
Faule Haut left her home port on Nov. 2021 at 2 p.m heading for the Caribbean
Crew on board are: Sheldon (USA), Boris (Germany), Olivia and Thibaut (France) and Skipper Ingo (Germany/Spain).
On.Nov. 11, 2021 they reached Gibraltar at 01:30 at night.
She had too little wind to sail the last 38 miles, and because the weather forecast showed no wind coming up the next two days the crew agreed it’s best to motor the last miles.
Sail to the Canary Islands with me

Faule Haut would like to sail to the Canary Islands, beginning or middle of November or at the end of November 2025.
But the Skipper can only do it, if he finds two (or three) people who join and contribute to the cost of this voyage.

Sail Ibiza to Mallorca
Faule Haut is leaving Murcia, at the mainland of Spain in a few minutes. She will sail to Mallorca, with a short stop at Ibiza on Saturday, July 3.
THERE ARE 4 PLACES AVAILABLE TO SAIL FROM IBIZA TO MALLORCA.
As soon as Skipper Ingo reaches the coastline of Ibiza, he will have network connection and check if anybody wants to join.

Ibiza City
Skipper Ingo was scared not to get his genoa in time, because he has crew on board that has to get back to Mallorca in time to catch their flights and to take over new crew. But he just got news from the sailmaker that he will have the sail ready even a day earlier than expected.
What a relief for the skipper.
So instead of leaving tomorrow, Faule Haut just left her anchorage heading towards the mainland Spain, to Murcia to pick up her new genoa and leave the old one there for repair.
Faule Haut will leave Murcia on the 1st or 2nd July heading back to Mallorca.

Here are some pictures from the crew‘s visit of Ibiza City last night.
Ibiza again
Another beautiful bay at Ibiza, close to Isla Tagomago.
Skipper and Crew had to change their plans. Faule Haut’s genoa ripped apart. A tear of 10 m from the bottom to almost the top. Too long to patch it without a maschine. So we arranged a date with a sailmaker at Murcia (mainland Spain) to get it repaired and also to pick up a new one. Therefore we left Mallorca, heading for Murcia, making stops at Ibiza on our way. It will be a long sailing to the mainland without having a genoa. We set up our second forstay and hoisted our storm sail. But that has only six square meters. So we probably need double time to get there.
Menorca has it
So far Ibiza has been Skipper Ingo’s favorite spot at the Balearic Islands. He might replace it with Menorca. Lotsa beautiful anchorages with crystal clear water and white sand.

Round Menorca
Faule Haut with Skipper Ingo and crew spent a night at the port of Ciutadella, Menorca. They just left to circumnavigate the island clockwise, stopping at beautiful beaches and bays to do some swimming and snorkeling.
Wind and weather could not be better.
Splashing day
SY Faule Haut got back into the water yesterday and is ready to sail again.

Her home port is Vinaròs, that’s on the mainland Spain, just 200 km south of Barcelona. From there it’s just a one day sail to the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, Formentera). These islands are a little paradise and a perfect spot for sailing
Dry Dock
SY Faule Haut ⛵️is at her home port Vinaròs and got out of the water for cleaning, sanding and painting.
Singlehand Skipper Ingo has turned into a singlehand sander. He’s been sanding the hull for the last three days. That’s a tough job, especially when you have to do it alone. Because of that corona crap, friends are having trouble or are scared to fly over here and help.
The starboard side is finished with sanding. Two more days for the port side, and than she needs to get painted several times.
Skipper Ingo is looking forward to getting her re-splashed on the 4th of June, for the next destination will be Mallorca.⛵️
